📝Validator Roles and Responsibilities:
Validators are experienced community members tasked with reviewing and verifying others’ contributions. They act as the human judges ensuring that Proof of Thought™ submissions meet the platform’s standards.
Becoming a Validator: Typically, only users with high reputation (and possibly a token stake as discussed) can apply or be nominated as validators. There may be an application process or a probationary period where their reviews are themselves reviewed. In a decentralized model, the community or foundation might initially appoint validators, but eventually it could transition to elected or algorithmically chosen validators from the top reputations.
Validation Process: When a task solution is submitted, validators are alerted if the task requires verification. Depending on volume, not every tiny task needs manual checking (some might be auto-validated by consensus if, for example, 100 people gave the same answer to an obvious question). But for critical or subjective tasks, validators will:
Examine the solution content and the accompanying reasoning (Proof of Thought details).
Check for correctness, originality, and completeness. Does the answer actually solve the problem or address the question? Is the reasoning sound?
Ensure the contributor followed guidelines (e.g., no prohibited content, the answer isn’t just copied from elsewhere without attribution, etc.).
Possibly run tests if applicable (for instance, if the task was to come up with a formula or piece of code, validators might test it).
Provide feedback or a rating. They might mark the submission as Approved, Needs Improvement, or Rejected, with comments. In case of Needs Improvement, perhaps the contributor can revise and resubmit.
